Description
Cap vaulted to expanding, often with an acute bump, Ø 2-6 cm, somewhat sticky, with (yellow) brown scales on a pale yellow brown to yellowish brown background, with a lighter rim with filamentous veil remnants.
Gills greyish lilac to black brown with a pale lamella edge.
Stem 5-12 cm x 4-8 mm, frosted above the ring and flaky under the spreading or drooping, at the upper side striped ring. Flesh yellowish brown. Taste absent. Smell faint.
Occurrence
In humus and on woodchips in parks and shrubberies.
Saprophyte.
