Description
Cap hemispherical to flatly expanded with a blunt bump, Ø 2-4 cm, damp slimy-sticky, purple brown or violet brown to grey beige or grey yellow, with a violet bloom, with some volatile, whitish flakes at the rim.
Gills beige to light brown or grey brown with a weak purple shade and a white flaky lamella edge.
Stem 2-5 cm x 2-4 mm, elastic, stem top fine flaky white, under the white flaky and persistent ring whitish longitudinal filamentous-flaky on a white background. Flesh white to brown. Taste mild. Smell faint.
Occurrence
In litter and on wood debris in shrubberies and deciduous forests and in grass in poor and nutrient-rich manured grasslands.
