Description
Cap hemispherical to flattened expanded, Ø 3-7 cm, whitish cream to yellow-greyish or greenish to dingy brown-yellow, with whitish to brown scales when young.
Gills whitish-yellowish to brownish.
Stem 4-6 cm x 3-7 mm, whitish cream, with yellowish brown fibrils and scales below the fibrous ring zone, brown at the base. Flesh yellowish to glassy greenish.

Occurrence
Fairly common on dead wood of deciduous trees (buries in grassland) on clay or loam. Tufted.
Saprophyte.
