Description
Cap hemispherical, Ø 1-5 cm, radially hairy to fibrous scaly, pale grey to grey, occasionally with a darker grey-brown centre.
Gills whitish to flesh-pink.
Stem 1-7 cm x 1-5 mm, downy, whitish to grey-brown, sac-like, 2- to 4- lobed volva. Flesh white to light grey. Smell faint, of geranium (Pelargonium).

Occurrence
On the ground in deciduous woods, parks and grasslands on humus-rich, rich loamy or clayey soil.
Saprophyte.
