Description
Cap convex to plane, Ø 5-10 cm, matt, pale brown to brown, with radial, dark brown to brown-black veins.
Gills white-yellowish to pink (623B.jpg).
Stem 6-8 cm x 8-10 mm, white, streaked with dark brown fibrils. Flesh white. Smell of raw potatoes.

Occurrence
On stumps, trunks and branches of deciduous trees (Poplar, Beech) in deciduous woods on damp, fertile soil.
Saprophyte.
