Yellow Shield Cap


Description
Cap bell-shaped to convex expanded, Ø 3-5 cm, matt, lemon yellow to bright golden yellow.
Gills whitish cream to pink, occasionally with yellow edge.
Stem 5-6 cm x 5-7 mm, whitish yellowish, felted-striped, with swollen base. Flesh white. Smell none.

Occurrence
On stumps and branches of deciduous trees (Oak, Alder, Beech) in woods on mineral-rich soil.
Saprophyte.
