Pointed Pink Gill
Description
Cap conical to bell-shaped with a papilla, Ø 1-3 cm, smooth, matt, from the rim up to halfway translucently striped, darker olive-brown with a purple tinge when damp, beige brown to light grey brown, with a sharp rim when dry.
Gills whitish to brown pink.
Stem 3-5 cm x 1-2 mm, elastic, smooth, silky shiny, dull grey brown, sometimes with a white powdered top and with a white velutinous base. Flesh whitish to brown. Smell weak, spicy.
Occurrence
In grasslands on moderately dry, non-manured sand or chalky soils.
