Entoloma dysthales

Description
Cap bell-shaped to vaulted, Ø 6-18 mm, matt, fine hairy-fibrous to scaled, from the lighter rim to half way striped, blackish brown to sepia brown when damp, grey brown with a darker centre when dry.
Gills widely separated or compact, dark grey or grey-brown to pinkish brown, with floccose lamella edge.
Stem 12-48 x 0.3-2 mm, sepia brown to grey brown, silvery striped, light to dark brown, floccose-scaled and with pale yellow brown filaments at the base. Flesh grey brown. Smell absent.

Occurrence
On humus and on dead leaves in Alder-brakes and in moderately damp Heather poor grasslands on loam, clay, sand, and peat soils.
Saprophyte.
