Inocybe squamata

Description
Cap conical to expanded with umbo, Ø 3-8 cm, radially brown-fibrous striped on a yellow to yellow-brown background, with brown scales at the centre, margin often splitting.
Gills pale to olive-yellow to yellow-brown with light edge.
Stem 5-7 cm x 6-9 mm, fibrous, pale brown to yellowish brown. Flesh pale. Smell faint.

Occurrence
Fairly common near Poplar on clay.
Forming ectomycorrhiza.
