Description
Cap conical to convex with umbo, Ø 1-3 cm, silky smooth, white, occasionally with a yellowish centre.
Gills cream to loam-coloured.
Stem 1-5 cm x 3-6 mm, silky fibrous, white. Flesh, white. Taste mild. Smell earthy, of sperm.
Poisonous.
Occurrence
Common near deciduous trees, occasionally near coniferous trees in woods, parks and avenues on rich soil.
Forming ectomycorrhiza.

Lilac Fibre Cap
Description
Cap conical to convex with a yellowish umbo, Ø 1-3 cm, silky smooth, lilac or violet on an ochre-brown background.
Stem 1-5 cm x 3-6 mm, silky fibrous, lilac, ochrous yellow at the base. Flesh white. Taste mild. Smell earthy, of sperm.
Poisonous.
Occurrence
Fairly common near deciduous trees (or coniferous trees) in woods, parks and avenues on rich soil.
Forming ectomycorrhiza.
