Description
Cap hemispherical to convex, Ø 4-10 cm, sticky, whitish, with brown-yellow or pale ochrous centre, with incurved margin when young.
Gills pale, loam-coloured, with brown spots caused by droplets.
Stem 4-7 x 1-2 cm, whitish floccose, cream. Flesh white. Taste bitter. Smell of radish.
Poisonous.
Occurrence
Common near deciduous trees in deciduous woods, avenues and roadsides on clay or loam.
Forming ectomycorrhiza.
