Cortinarius bulliardii

Description
Cap vaulted to expanding, Ø 4-8 cm, deep red-brown to chestnut brown, desiccating in ochre-yellow brown.
Gills violet to rusty brown.
Stem 5-10 cm x 10-15 mm, from a whitish top to rusty brown to the base, covered with reddish fibres. Flesh whitish to reddish. Smell absent.
Spore-print colour rusty brown.
Suspicious.

Occurrence
Near Beech on humus- and nutrient-deficient sand.
Forming ectomycorrhiza.
