Description
Cap convex to expanded with umbo, Ø 2-5 cm, finely fibrous, bright yellow-orange to yellow-brown brick-red, paler at the margin.
Gills lemon-yellow to ochre-brown or yellow-brown.
Stem 3-6 cm x 3-7 mm, pale yellowish brown-orange to orange-red, with rusty brown fibrils, a yellow cortina and a swollen base. Flesh sulphur-yellow to yellow-brown. Smell of radish.
Spore-print colour rusty brown.

Occurrence
Fairly common near Alder and Willow on damp soils.
Forming ectomycorrhiza.
