Description
Cap convex to expanded, Ø 4-11 cm, slimy, ochre to ochre-brown.
Gills pale clay-coloured to rusty brown.
Stem 5-12 x 1-2 cm, slimy, white-yellowish, with brown cortinal zone and brownish belts of slimy velar remnants. Flesh pale yellowish. Taste mild.
Spore-print colour rusty brown.
Suspect.

Occurrence
Not uncommon near deciduous trees (Poplar, Willow, Oak) on deciduous woods, shrubberies and avenues on damp, rich sand or clay.
Forming ectomycorrhiza.
