Description
Cap convex to flattened, Ø 6-8 cm, sticky when damp; matt when dry, yellow-ochre or golden to lemon-yellowish or yellow-brown.
Gills white or creamy beige to cinnamon, with white, serrate edge.
Stem 6-8 x 1-2 cm, whitish, yellow to ochrous yellow at apex, with evanescent, woolly-fibrous zones. Flesh whitish. Taste mild. Smell none. Spore-print colour yellow-brown.

Occurrence
Near Birch in deciduous woods and avenues on rich soil.
Forming ectomycorrhiza.
