Description
Cap hemispherical to conical or bell-shaped, Ø 10-25 mm, smooth, matt, striped, ochre-brown to grey-brown when damp; whitish grey to light ochre-brown or beige-brown when dry.
Gills light grey-brown to dark violet-brown.
Stem 3-10 cm x 2-4 mm, hollow, fragile, whitish, tufted, white-felted at the base. Flesh orange-brown to beige-brown. Taste mild. Smell none.
Suspect.

Occurrence
Not uncommon on soils in parks, avenues and deciduous woods, often on overgrown sites, on rich clay and loam.
Saprophyte.
