Description
Cap egg-shaped to bell-shaped, Ø 1-2 cm, light grey-brown, covered with orange-red to coral-red veil.
Gills pale to brown-black.
Stem 2-7 cm x 2-3 mm, whitish, with orange-red to coral-red scales.

Occurrence
On the soil, especially with buried wood debris, or on wood chips, in parks and deciduous woods on rich soil. Occasionally in large numbers. Summer to autumn.
Saprophyte.
