Bonfire Ink Cap
Description
Cap conical to campanulate, Ø 5-30 mm, 5-20 mm high, smooth, striped furrowed, grey-buff to ochrous brown or light chestnut.
Gills cream to black.
Stem 15-50 x 1-3 mm, hollow, fragile, matt, whitish fibrillose, pale cream. Taste mild. Smell none.
Occurrence
On fire sites. Spring to autumn.
Saprophyte.
