Lepiota alba

Description
Cap campanulate, then expanded with obtuse umbo, Ø 3-5 cm, finely felted, white to creamy white with yellow-brown centre, with floccose margin. Gills white to cream.
Stem 4-6 cm x 4-7 mm, smooth, white, below the evanescent, floccose ring pale yellow-brown with white warts. Flesh white. Smell disagreeably pungent.
Suspicious.

Occurrence
In close-grazed dune vegetation and dry calcareous grasslands on calcareous sand.
Saprophyte.
