Description
Cap globose, then hemispherical to expanded, Ø 3-5 cm, mealy or finely felted, creamy white or ochrous to pale pink, staining pink-brown, with floccose margin.
Gills white, becoming orange-red.
Stem 3-6 cm x 3-5 mm, creamy white to pale pink, with floccose ring zone. Flesh white, with pink-brown tinge. Smell pleasant.
Occurrence
On rich soil mixed with humus or well decayed wood, on calcareous loam or sand and river clay.
Saprophyte.
