Description
Less than 1cm: Use magnifying glass.
Fruit-body spherical to flattened pear- or top-shaped, Ø 4-8 mm, 3-7 mm high. Outer surface felted, whitish to dingy yellow, with a felted, ochrous yellow membrane, which peels loose at the margin, covering the top of a cup. Cup with dingy white, lens-shaped eggs 1-2 mm in diameter, attached to the inner surface with a mycelium strand, inner surface silvery white.

Occurrence
In groups on branches, twigs and chips of broad-leaved and coniferous trees and on plant stems.
Saprophyte.
