Description
Fruit-body 5-10 cm. Cap 3-6 cm, saddle-shaped, 3-lobed. Upper surface black-brown. Margin partly attached to stem, lower surface smooth and white.
Stem hollow, with deep dents at the base, whitish to creamy yellow, 3-5 x 1-2 cm.
Occurrence
On calcareous (dune) sand and underneath (Trembling) Poplar. April to May.
