Hypocrea pulvinata

Description
Fruit-body cushion-shape, round to irregularly oval, often fused, Ø 0.5-2 cm. Upper surface rough, matt ochre-yellow to pale brown. Mostly occurring as the more common, powdery pruinose, imperfect form.

Occurrence
On the tube layer of old specimens of Birch Polypore (Piptoporus betulinus (345A.jpg)) lying on the ground.
Saprophyte.
