Boleti

An extensive group of fleshy Basidiomycetes with easily seperable tubes under the cap and a central, occasionally excentric stipe. Forming ectomycorrhiza.
In Britain, more than 90 Boleti species occur, including the genera Boletus (Xerocomus), Pulveroboletus, Tylopilus, Gyrodon, Gyroporus, Boletinus, Leccinum, Chalciporus, Suillus and Strobilomyces.

NB the genus Strobilomyces is now placed within the family Strobilomycetaceae.
