Antrodiella hoehnelii

Description
Fruit-body annual, semicircular bracket-like. Cap 2-4 x 1-3 cm, up to 1 cm thick. Upper surface undulate, velvety matt, white or cream to yellowish, with obtuse, yellow margin.
Tubes 2-4 mm long, cream. Pores 3-5 per mm, irregularly circular, white to ochre-yellowish. Flesh elastic, tough, cream.
Spore-print colour white.

Occurrence
Often on or near old fruit-bodies of Inonotus hastifer species, which can be seen at the right in the photograph, on trunks and stumps of deciduous trees, favouring Alder.
Saprophyte. (Parasitic?).
