Russula gracillima

Description
Cap vaulted to flat, sometimes with a bump, Ø 2-5 cm, with a grey-greenish or olive- coloured centre and a pink notched rim or a completely grey-violet cap.
Gills somewhat declined, pale cream.
Stem 3-5 x 0.5-1 cm, whitish to greyish pink. Flesh fragile, white. Taste somewhat sharp. Smell absent.
Spore-print colour (pale) cream.

Occurrence
Near Birch (Willow) on humid to dry sand and loam soils.
Forming ectomycorrhiza.
