Grass Green Brittle Gill
Description
Cap globose to plane or depressed convex, Ø 4-9 cm, smooth, or radially veined, pale grass-green with yellowish or brownish tinge, with dark grass-green centre and rusty brown spots.
Gills nearly free, often forked, yellowish.
Stem 4-8 x 1-2 cm, whitish. Flesh white. Taste mild to pungent.
Spore-print colour cream.
Occurrence
Common near Birch.
Forming ectomycorrhiza.
