Description
Cap funnel-shaped, Ø 3-9 cm, dark grey-brown when damp; paler when dry, with incurved margin.
Gills distant, sickle-shaped, somewhat decurrent, pale grey to brownish.
Stem 4-9 cm x 5-10 mm, grey-brown, silky white-fibrous, with dark, swollen base. Flesh whitish to grey-beige. Smell faint, pleasant.
Spore-print colour white.
Edible.

Occurrence
Among leaves and needles on rich loam and clay.
Saprophyte.

- Pseudoclitocybe obbata (growing among grasses and mosses in dune pastures).
