Description
Cap bell-shaped to convex expanded, Ø 1-2 cm, with peelable, gelatinous cuticle, smooth, matt, shiny when damp, grooved-striped, olive-yellow to olive-brown, with whitish margin.
Gills broad, adnate with a tooth, white to whitish yellow.
Stem 3-5 cm x 1-2 mm, slimy-sticky, with gelatinous, peelable sheeting, light yellow-green. Flesh olive-grey to olive-yellow. Smell of freshly mown grass.

Occurrence
On wood of coniferous trees.
Saprophyte.

- Mycena epipterygia var. epipterygia is common on litter produced by grass, foliage, needles and on decaying wood in deciduous and coniferous woods, heath and grassland.
