Marasmius bulliardii

Description
Less than 1cm: Use magnifying glass.
Cap convex, with depressed centre, Ø 2.5-6 mm, radially furrowed, matt, whitish cream to beige, with dark brown centre and undulate margin.
Gills distant, whitish, attached to a collar free of the stem.
Stem 2-4.5 cm x 0.2-0.5 mm, resembling horse hair, smooth, shiny, brown-black. Smell faint.

Occurrence
Not uncommon on dead leaves of deciduous trees (Beech, Birch) in deciduous woods on calcareous or rich soil.
Saprophyte.
