Description
Cap convex to plane with broad umbo, Ø 2-5 cm, reddish beige to flesh-cream.
Gills distant, white to ochrous cream.
Stem 2-10 cm x 3-5 mm, stiff, tough, whitish to pale yellow. Flesh whitish. Smell pleasant, of fresh sawdust or almonds.
Edible.

Occurrence
Common on grass, grass roots and humus in grasslands, tangled growth, avenues and parks, occasionally on bare ground. Often in groups or fairy rings.
Saprophyte. (Parasitic?)
