Description
Cap convex to flattened funnel-shaped, Ø 2-5 cm, smooth, grey-brown when damp; grey-beige when dry, with translucent striped margin.
Gills adnate to decurrent, grey-brown.
Stem 2-5 cm x 3-6 mm, white-fibrous, grey-brown, with mycelium fluff at the base. Flesh watery-grey-brown. Smell flour-like-rancid.
Suspect.

Occurrence
Fairly common among needles (Spruce, Douglas fir) and leaves (Birch, Oak, Alder) on rich sand.
Saprophyte.
