Description
Cap convex to plane, Ø 8-12 cm, pruinose to smooth, pale reddish ochre, marbled yellow-brown or red-brown.
Gills decurrent, pale reddish ochre.
Stem 3-8 x 1-2 cm, whitish to pale reddish ochre. Flesh pale. Taste nutty. Smell flour-like-sweet.
Edible.

Occurrence
On humus in deciduous and coniferous woods and parks on rich and/or calcareous soil.
Saprophyte.
