Larch Canker
(Hawthorn Tubaria or Ochrey White Tubaria)
Description
Cap convex to plane, Ø 5-20 mm, finely velvety, creamy brown to ochre-brownish yellow, striate at the margin when damp.
Gills pale yellow to ochre.
Stem 15-30 x 1-2 mm, whitish cream. Flesh whitish.
Occurrence
Common on coarse litter and humus of Hawthorn in shrubberies, at the edge of woods and in deciduous woods on calcareous, humus-rich sand.
Saprophyte.
