Giant Flame Cap

Description
Cap convex to expanded, Ø 5-15 cm, golden yellow to orange-yellow, covered with adpressed, fibrous, yellow-brown scales.
Gills yellow to rusty brown.
Stem 5-12 x 1-3 cm, fibrous-scaly, chrome-yellow to ochrous yellow, with membranous, yellowish to rusty brown ring and swollen base.
Poisonous.
Occurrence
Common on wood of deciduous trees in woods, parks and avenues. Summer to autumn.
