Coprinus semitalis

Description
Cap egg-shaped to bell-shaped, Ø 1-2 cm, 5-20 mm high, covered with floccose-granular, whitish to pale grey veil, blackening from the torn, upturned, striped margin.
Gills white to black.
Stem 5-7 cm x 2-4 mm, hollow, fragile, white pruinose on a light grey background. Flesh whitish. Taste mild. Smell none.

Occurrence
On the ground in poor, grazed grassland in parks on sandy or clay soil. Summer to autumn.
Saprophyte.
