Hemispheric Field Cap
Description
Cap hemispherical to convex, Ø 15-35 mm, viscid, velvety matt when dry, light yellow or brown-yellow, with acute margin overhung with velar remnants when young.
Gills creamy buff to rusty brown, with white ciliate edge.
Stem 3-7 cm x 2-5 mm, white pruinose, pale yellow to orange yellow. Flesh whitish to ochrous yellow. Taste mild. Smell flour-like.
Suspicious.
Occurrence
On the ground in city parks, public gardens, lawns, roadsides and grasslands on rich soil. Summer.
