Limacella guttata

Description
Cap ovoid at first, then convex to flattened, Ø 6-12 cm, slimy viscid, velvety matt when dry, Isabella or yellow-brown to flesh or brown-pink. Gills narrow, white, occasionally shedding tears when moist.
Stem 10-15 x 1-2 cm, whitish, with membranous, whitish ring with droplets leaving grey-brown dots. Flesh white. Smell flour-like.
Edible.

Occurrence
In broad-leaved and coniferous woods (Spruce) on clay, loam and humus-rich sand.
Saprophyte, (possibly forming ectomycorrhiza).
