Description
Globose, then convex to plane, Ø 4-10 cm, smooth, ivory white to pale lemon yellow at the centre, often covered with white to yellowish brown patches. Gills white.
Stem 6-8 cm x 8-12 mm, striped above the membranous, white ring, ivory white yellowish at the apex, the large, bulbous base encased in a volva. Flesh white. Smell of raw potatoes.
Suspicious.

Occurrence
In broad-leaved and mixed woods (Oak and Beech), on sandy soil.
Forming ectomycorrhiza.

Description
Cap globose, then convex to plane, Ø 4-10 cm, smooth, white, frequently covered with white to yellowish patches. Gills white. Stem 6-8 cm x 8-12 mm, smooth, white below the membranous, white ring with floccose zones, the large, bulbous base encased in a white volva. Flesh white. Smell faint, of raw potatoes.
Suspicious.

Occurrence
In broad-leaved and mixed woods particularly near Oak and Beech, on sandy soil. Forming ectomycorrhiza.
