Description
Cap conical, then expanded, Ø 2-5 cm, warty to granular mealy, matt, dingy grey buff to light brown, with membranous velar remnants on margin.
Stem 3-5 cm x 3-5 mm, hollow, fragile, wine-red, dingy grey buff pruinose, swollen to bulbous base. Flesh white, becoming red when damaged. Smell mushroomy.
Suspicious.

Occurrence
On humus-rich soil in parks, gardens and broad-leaved woods on rich clay and sand.
Saprophyte.
