Description
Cap hemispherical to expanded, Ø 3-10 cm, smooth or scaly, white to cream yellow.
Gills independent, deep pink to brown.
Stem 3-10 x 1-2 cm, white to faint yellow, with a thin white ring in the shape of a torn collar and a tapered base. Flesh white, pink when bruised. Taste pleasant. Smell pleasant.
Edible.
Occurrence
On the ground in moderate to well-manured grassland on moderately acidic to neutral sandy soil, peat and clay. Also on lawns and in road sides and occasionally in light forest
